The selected candidate will be able to:
Develop Energy Master Plans & Energy Consulting in the Built Environment.
Calculate Energy Performance Certificates using official tools (HULC, CE3x, SG SAVE, CYPETHERM Plus).
Conduct Energy Modeling using IESVE, HAP, OpenStudio or eQuest following ASHRAE Appendix G, LEED and/or Energy Cost Budget Method simulation guidelines.
Perform calibration of Energy Models for existing buildings based on M&V guidance (ASHRAE, IPMVP)
Elaborate Energy Models reports according to best practices and reference standards.
Collect modeling inputs and build geometry using AutoCAD and BIM files and drawings.
Recommend energy efficiency and decarbonization & resiliency strategies supported by modeling results and Building Science.
Support MEP Team in the Energy field and collaborate with the Architecture Team.
Track the progress of several energy models/projects simultaneously.
At least 4 years experience as mechanical engineer in energy efficiency projects
Experience in the use of energy modelling of buildings
Experience in the use of energy efficiency performance
Building Energy analytics and energy efficiency knowledge.
Knowledge of building services (especially mechanical/air-conditioning services, and lighting)
Knowledge and application of ASHRAE Standards (90.1 - Appendix G, 209, 189, 55, 62.1)
Familiarity with energy procurement process and renewable energy options.
Strong knowledge in Renewable Energy (PV, Thermal Solar, Geothermal) and District Heating/Cooling
Used to manage Utility rates.
High level of spanish and english
It would be valuable if the successful candidate should have experience in leading projects involving building sustainability certifications (BREEAM, LEED), carbon footprints, building energy audits, carbon management services, climate change assessments, the net zero transitions (embodied or net zero operational buildings), or related services.
