Job Description:

This role will lead the TPN Technical Training Team in its daily operations while being the primary liaison person of the Manila Marketing & Communications team for the technical practice group regarding external and internal training accreditation of AECOM. The Technical Training Specialist will plan, schedule, execute, and monitor technical training from accreditation up to analysis to ensure that business lines will get the proper training needed for their roles.

  • Train and assist AECOM staff in creating learning pathways in AECOM University

  • Work with technical practice leaders and the AECOM University team to structure, accredit, and schedule courses.

  • Assist in publicizing course information and recruiting instructors and students.

  • Serve as the primary AECOM contact for outside vendor training programs such as ASCE, RedVector, and Schneider Electric. Work with other training leads in negotiating the annual contracts with these vendors. Work with the AECOM University team to ensure that courses are integrated properly with AECOM University via APIs or other appropriate methods. Troubleshoot user access issues.

  • Work with external vendors and internal technical experts where necessary in selecting and making globally appropriate technical training from offerings provided by vendors available to technical staff

  • Serve as the primary AECOM contact for internal technical training and accreditation questions.

  • Create guides and provide virtual training on technical training platforms and resources available to AECOM staff. This includes vendor-provided training.

  • Serve as a global administrator and act as SME for AECOM University, helping technical staff with concerns and requests in AECOM University.

  • Work with primary company IACET lead in establishing internal accreditation procedures with complex approval workflows.

  • Recruit and train appropriate technical staff to serve as internal accreditation reviewers

  • Establish database procedures for maintaining accreditation records

  • Work with course instructors to provide the information required for accrediting organization auditing processes

  • Work with course instructors to update course procedures and documentation when required

  • Communicate with stakeholders and key contacts, including external clients when technical training is provided by AECOM for external clients.

  • Work with technical staff to schedule and support technical vendor webinars; ensure vendor webinar follows internal guidelines and requirements.

  • Host webinars for Virtual Instruction Led Training Sessions as requested

  • Train appropriate internal staff on hosting webinars for VILT Sessions

  • Train staff and support staff as needed in generating attendance reports for VILT sessions and updating completions as needed.

  • Modify and create programs, curriculum, Web-Based Training, Instructor-Led Trainings, learning pathways, and learning paths in Learning Management System. Troubleshoot concerns in LMS.

  • Generate reports in AECOM University for status completions, course completions, learning hours, and user completions as requested by stakeholders.

  • Identify and analyze complex issues and recommend solutions or alternatives.

  • Act as – first-level escalation point for questions and issue resolutions ensuring issues are addressed in a timely manner Responsible for escalating the issues further as and when necessary.

  • Provide regular performance and operational progress reports to managers to ensure issues are being flagged in a timely manner and ensure performance/operational gaps are addressed.

  • Responsible for the implementation of the team’s business continuity plan.

  • Recommends resource planning solutions for changing resource loading and work volumes.

  • Sets performance and behavioral expectations. Conducts regular review, provides feedback and coaching, and other developmental, training and learning opportunity plans to ensure the success of the individuals within the team.

  • Lead short-term projects and supports medium to long-term projects and contribute to long-term initiatives planning.

  • Develop strong stakeholder relationship by ensuring escalations are managed effectively and proactively and elevating it further as and when necessary.

  • Ensure team compliance to and delivery of service level agreements, policies, and procedures as agreed with the Manager.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any program or diploma course

  • At least 1-2 years of work experience in leading a team

  • 8-10 years of relevant professional experience in strategic training, curriculum development and design, project management, vendor relations, and learning implementation

  • Experience working in outsourcing, shared services, or similar model

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools
