AECOM is seeking a qualified and motivated individual for our Atlanta, Ga office to support our Water Business Line. The qualified applicant will have experience in water/wastewater engineering and construction management principles, and will be familiar with the design, construction, and operation of municipal water and/or wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure. The position includes project planning and design, construction services oversight, schedule/budget management and client interface, all in an interesting and rewarding consulting engineering work environment. The successful candidate will be expected to communicate effectively with project team members, have a high level of initiative and motivation to deliver quality results, have strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to work with clients to provide value-added solutions and maintain strong client relationships.
Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects.
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Approves and signs off on work.
Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
Participates in development of technical proposals.
Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited university
8+ years of relevant experience with 3 years of demonstrated project management experience in water/wastewater
Professional Engineers License
Experience in coordination with regulatory agencies
Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
10+ years of relevant experience with 5 years of demonstrated project management experience
Project Management Professional or training in project management
Professional Engineer in Georgia or ability to obtain reciprocity within six (6) months of hire
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in teams
Proficient with MS Office Suite
