The Role

The Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) through ARMTSPO is required to ensure the Technical Integrity of the ADF fleets of Small Arms and Direct Fire Support Weapons. In a recent Audit of ARMTSPO, DTR-A have identified many ARMTSPO EMEIs are in need of updating to reflect changes in the legislative and policy.

The Technical Advisor will be responsible for the review and update a number of weapon related EMEIs to ensure their timely publication on the LMP portal. Key deliverables include (but are not limited to):

  • Review/update of up to 62 ARMTSPO EMEI’s as part of ARMTSPO Technical Data Remediation.
  • Provide a draft EMEI Update in Word format to POC in ARMTSPO.
  • Provide a final EMEI in Word format to POC in ARMTSPO.
  • Enter the publication of updated EMEI on Land Materiel Publications (LMP) portal through CMT-L.
  • Enter the updated EMEIs and publish on the LMP portal.

Experience and Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will ideally possess:

  • Mechanical or Fitter / Turner qualifications or a strong trade background
  • Previous technical writing experience required
  • Experience in Defence environments (either in uniform or in an ATL role)
  • Working knowledge of Defence Technical Writing standards

Mandatory Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain AGSVA NV1 clearance at minimum
