SAIC’s National Security Group (NSG) is seeking an Agile Software Solutions Systems Engineer to fill a critical position on the LANDMARK AOS program. The position will be located in Chantilly, VA and requires an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.

LANDMARK AOS is a large SETA contract, supporting the customer’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.

The candidate will provide SETA support for the acquisition of intelligence community (IC) national intelligence ground R&D systems (hardware and software), cooperatively with government, FFRDC, and other SETA contractors. In this role you will actively support the Chief Architect in GED’s Agile transformation. This role serves as a solution architect and change agent to mature organization’s software infrastructure to foster the migration.

Key functions include:

  • Map existing projects to approved templates to facilitate cross-program standardization
  • Lead and coordinate Agile events and ceremonies
  • Guide GED’s cross-directorate Agile coordination and transformation efforts
  • Teach the effective leveraging of tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Communicate and strategize with GED senior management on Agile implementation plans/guidance/assessments and organizational adoption methodologies and best use of software solutions to power Agile

You will work side-by-side with the other LANDMARK AOS staff comprised of world class System Engineers, Acquisition Engineers and Domain Experts to lead the customer in acquiring modern processing applications. This position offers growth opportunities not only within the LANDMARK AOS program, but within SAIC. Position is to function as SETA support (technical consulting and advisory services) for a Ground System Program Office. We will provide training and certification in SAFe Agile practices, but require someone familiar with the interactions within the NRO. You will be coaching others in Agile development practices.


  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s STEM degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 6 years of related experience with software development
  • Deep understanding of JIRA and Confluence
  • Extensive experience with JIRA/Confluence/Test management tools (Zephyr and  Testrail) to visualize enterprise data with dynamic dashboards, reporting and metrics (moved back to required)
  • Experience coordinating efforts of software engineering professionals
  • Experience managing under a rigorous Software Engineering process in a mission critical environment
  • Must have strong writing / reporting and verbal communication skills
  • Must be flexible in a constantly changing business landscape

Desired Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge and thorough understanding of requirements management for NRO and NRO programs
  • Advanced STEM degree
  • Experience with IC and/or DoD space architectures
  • SAFe certified (SA or SPC) (This was initially a required item)
  • Experience in engineering and/or acquisition of Intelligence Community (IC) and/or DoD spacecraft systems
  • Experience with CAMEO and Model Based Systems Engineering a plus
  • Knowledge of IC and/or DoD acquisition roles, processes, and/or program management
  • Demonstrated experience briefing senior leaders
  • Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and emerging computing trends
