Supports United States Department of Defense Pentagon Force Protection Agency mission. Sergeants shall be positive, customer-oriented, focused on providing value-based security services. Sergeants on the contract shall have a demonstrated record of positive performance. Sergeants shall ensure all personnel are aware of any changes in post assignments, and pass on special instructions, announcements, or any other pertinent information that may affect security operations.
Sergeants are in charge of work requirements under the contract and shall be available at all times to receive and implement orders or special instruction from the Project Manager, COR/COTR or their designees concerning matters which affect the operation and security of assigned areas.
Sergeants must be individuals of unquestionable integrity who display a mature attitude and exercise good judgment.
Mandatory qualifications: Valid Secret eligibility issued by U.S. DoD
Performs security patrols.
Records and documents daily events.
Directs and Supervises personnel assigned.
Completes reports and assignments as directed.
Enforces access control procedures.
Protects property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire and accidents.
Investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations.
Provides any needed assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures.
May perform other related duties as assigned as necessary.
Small Group Leadership skills
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be 21 years of age
Must be high school/GED graduate
Minimum five years law enforcement/security officer/military experience showing a successful history of increasing levels of responsibility.
In Rosslyn VA: Armed DCJS License w/Firearms Endorsement
In Silver Spring, MD: Guard Card Registration w/Wear & Carry Permit
Valid Red Cross First Aid, CPR/AED Card Active MED Card
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
The applicant is required to submit to pre-employment medical exam and drug screening.
The applicant must be able to pass an NLIC / State / Local Background check and Credit check (as applicable).
The applicant must be able to successfully complete a Physical Agility Test (PAT).
The applicant must be able to successfully complete a Firearms Qualification (FAQ).
