SAIC is hiring a Senior Backend Developer / Data Analyst to join our team. 

Note: This position will primarily be a Remote / Virtual / Work from home position and may require some on-site visits to Marine Corps Base Quantico.

SAIC is seeking a forward-thinking, hands-on Senior Backend Developer/Data Analyst  to join our team as we continue to address complex application data migration challenges for our customer.

Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will be an experienced developer who is able to serve our customer in architecting, developing, and solving source to target data migration and structural design.
• Candidate is expected to have a complete understanding of software engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
• Activities may include concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, system & operations, performance analysis.
• Candidate must be able to provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
• Requires the ability to understand customer problems, quickly learn new tools and technologies, and work both independently and as part of a team of developers and functional experts to rapidly deliver customer solutions.
• Candidate must demonstrate the ability to meet objectives using good judgment and techniques for obtaining solutions while working under general direction.
• Candidate will represent the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 8+ years of experience in development or a related field; OR Masters degree and 6+ years of experience in development or a related field
• Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain the interim Secret Security clearance to begin working on the contract.  Must be able to obtain the full Secret Security clearance.  SAIC will assist with the process of obtaining the interim Secret clearance for the qualified candidate.
• Strong in Java, and have secondary experience in other technologies/languages such as JSP, JavaScript, etc.
• Strong understanding of Object Oriented Design.
• Deep understanding of ETL data migration and architecture.
• Experience working in an Agile/DevOps process
• Strong analytic and problem solving abilities and a strong work ethic with the ability to thrive in a team/collaborative environment
• Experience with building applications
• Demonstrated experience with complex SQL queries
• Working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle

Desired (but not required):

• Experience with Oracle and SQL databases  
• Familiarity with client side JavaScript APIs like AngularJS, JQuery, and Bootstrap
• Experience developing/customizing web applications using HTML, CSS, and MSSQL
• Experience writing code using secure coding practices

Target salary range: $105,001 - $115,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
