Job Summary

AECOM is hiring an Equipment Operator to join the MEG project team on site near Conklin, Alberta. This is a full-time position on a 7/7 shift schedule.

Equipment Operators should be experienced in the use of telehandler/zoomboom (bobcat and forklift experience is also an asset)

Equipment Operators will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Receive written and oral instructions from supervisor regarding materials to move or excavate

  • Demonstrate safe operation of all equipment

  • Read and understand the results and purpose of all gauges and equipment

  • Properly maintain and service or has equipment serviced daily

  • Perform minor maintenance or clearing of tools and equipment

Conditions of Employment for this position are:

  1. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Background Check policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check, an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.

  2. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Alcohol & Drug (A&D) policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company's Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM - O&G Business Unit.

Minimum Requirements

  • Requires zoom boom ticket

  • 1 or more years of related experience

  • Heavy Duty Equipment Operator

  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09 or 2020) Certification

  • H2S Alive

  • Fit Test (Full face masks: North 5400; Half face mask: North 5500 Series; Scott AV 3000)

  • Class 5 Driver’s License and a clean 5 Year Driver’s Abstract
