AECOM is seeking a Landscape Architect I to be based in New York, NY or in the surrounding area. In this role you will be working in the following area:
Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.
Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.
Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.
Under some supervision, may complete design assignments of moderate complexity.
Introduced to the process of performing material take-offs for the discipline.
Introduced to the process of preparing designs and drawings using project specifications and discipline-associated written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards and procedures.

Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field with Landscape Architecture Experience.
Be knowledgeable with NYC DOT Standard Specifications and Standard Details of Construction specific to pedestrian ramps, and the American with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Must possess a valid driver's license, clean driving record, personal vehicle, and the ability to navigate to and through Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island, NY.
Standards for Accessible Design experience.
Be proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel, Bluebeam or Adobe Photoshop, and have experience in obtaining field measurements and preparing site plans.
Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in indoor and outdoor environments with uneven terrain, variable outdoor conditions including heat, cold, dusts, and noise.
Excellent business writing, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills, as well as the ability to multitask and work within deadlines
Limited familiarity with codes, permits, and software applications related to the discipline.
Intermediate understanding of the purpose and use of vendor documents
Travel is Required for this position.
You will need your own vehicle, but will be reimbursed for mileage and tolls

Position requires frequent standing/walking, operation of vehicles, work in an environment of heavy, moving, dangerous equipment, working alone in isolated/remote areas, and performing keyboard/mouse operations.
Position will include wearing associated personal protective equipment, including safety shoes/boots, hard hat, gloves, safety glasses/goggles, hearing protection, and high visibility vest
