Level of experience/Education:

  • United States citizen and an active secret clearance
  • United States Navy experience
  • Possess knowledge of the Navy’s SSDS or Aegis combat systems
  • Experience with Windows, UNIX and LINUX operating systems
  • Experience in software CM production and media generation process
  • Bachelor’s degree in an associated technical discipline a at least 4 years of related experience, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of related experience

    Description:

    Systems Architect position supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) on the Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS), and Aegis surface ship program in Dahlgren, Virginia.  The position provides support to the SSDS In-service Baseline Manager.  Specifically, the position involves performance of the following tasks:

  •   Create and maintain folders on ViewNet utilizing FIRST (Fleet Installation Readiness and Support System)
  •   Coordinate with IWSL Media Library personnel for creation of media required for generation
  •   Extract CEC/Airways Cooperative Engagement Capability National Imagery Mapping Agency
  • Digital Aeronautical Flight Information

    Windows platforms in IWSL Lab

  • Perform Configuration Management file comparison
  • Generate CDs, 4MM and CFAST Compact Flash
  • Status Accounting of media records in ACCESS Database
  • Perform Virus scan and verification of Media and Network Devices on Red Hat Linux Workstation
  • Run virus scan on CEC_NGA_DAFIFT data
  • Support process definition, improvement, and development of SOPs
  • Create Full Disk Images
  • Implementation of new technology within the build and installation process
  • Clearance: Secret
