Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Applications Architect to join our team. This position is based out of Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with technical teams, fellow architects, analytic stakeholders, and Sponsor management to architect, design, and lead the development and deployment of application solutions
  • Developing and documenting architectural guidance, interface designs, etc. for application development teams
  • Assessing the feasibility of application designs/plans, and assuring alignment with established mission requirements and security mandates
  • Analyzing, defining, and documenting requirements for data flows, processes, hardware and software environments, network connectivity, system interfaces, security controls, and visualization
  • Communicating technical assessments, proposals, and alternatives to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior management
  • Overseeing the design and development of custom application solutions, or the evaluation, selection, and implementation of COTS solutions
  • Monitoring current and emerging technologies and industry trends to present technical recommendations to senior management and technical teams
  • Designing, programming/developing, and modifying software systems, applications, and tools, both existing and potentially new in the future (i.e. hands-on application development work)

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of five (5) years of experience. An additional four (4) years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Significant experience leading increasingly complex application/software/system architecture projects
  • Significant hands-on programming/application development experience, including relevant experience with Java, RESTful services, and a diverse set of complementary technologies such as JavaScript, Spring, and Angular
  • Experience working and interacting with different types of data stores (e.g. Oracle, Elasticsearch)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex issues pertaining to data, security, engineering, and architecture in enterprise-size mission environments
  • Exceptional ability to manage competing priorities and communication to multiple stakeholders

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • TS/SCI with ability to obtain CI Poly

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
