This position will support activities within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, such as HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Military Compartments efforts. The position will provide “day-to-day” support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited:

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining configuration management tools and supporting configuration identification, control, reporting, release and delivery of products and systems

  • Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new product operating parameters are documented, comply with standards and are logistically sustainable

  • Responsible for designing, developing, automating and maintaining productivity tools

  • Develop and maintain system configuration management processes, procedures and documentation in support of customer requirements

  • Design and build procedures to aid in product creation and use

  • Develops internal configuration standards and trains others to use configuration management tools

  • Maintains and updates processes and procedures to support the software build process.

  • Exercise creative thinking to advance business performance.

  • Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customer and changing business needs

  • Comply with all customer policies and procedures

  • Creates and maintains CM process, best practice and policy documents to ensure CM rigor and improve efficiency. 

  • Author SOPs related to standard IT workflows

  • Coordinates, records and documents activities of the Configuration Control Board (CCB)

  • Implement, manage, and maintain the customer configuration management database

  • Maintain configuration records for all sites, hardware, and software

  • Provide weekly status reports to customer and ManTech management on the status of all ongoing CM activities.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Experience using Microsoft SharePoint

  • Excellent written and communication skills

  • Must have Bachelors’ degree and 7-9 years of related experience OR 10+ years of related experience in lieu of degree.

  • Proven experience in recommending solutions that improve customer satisfaction

  • Proven experience implementing configuration management practices in an IT engineering and sustainment organization

  • Experience utilizing CMDB technology

Certifications: 

  • Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level 2 within 6 months of the date of hire 

Security Clearance:  

  • Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility 

  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information 

  • Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph
