SAIC is seeking a CWMD Policy Analyst to provide support to the Headquarters Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration (AF/A10), Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Division (AF/A10S). Work is performed onsite at the Pentagon and telework/remote as required.
Responsibilities include:
Provide support to the forums/working groups associated with governance and oversight of the Department of the Air Force (DAF) CWMD Enterprise: the CWMD Council, the CWMD Integration Board meetings, the Policy Working Group, and other working groups/forums established by the Council;
Assist with agenda development and coordination of meeting logistics for relevant forums;
Monitor taskings arising from CWMD forums and assist with the maintenance of an associated task management database;
Utilize MS Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, to create briefings and presentations;
Conduct research and analysis on national security issues involving Air Force CWMD Enterprise equities;
Draft issue papers, reports, meeting minutes and other documents, as required;
Prepare background materials for senior government personnel;
Review guidance documents related to the DAF and CWMD to include strategies, policies, plans, and doctrine;
Support the review, assignment, and tracking of all incoming Task Management Tool (TMT) taskers for AF/A10S; and
Support the management of the A10S Workflow.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Minimum of Bachelors and six years or more of related experience or Masters and four years related experience
Ability to manage, track, and coordinate a wide range of actions, documents, and tasks through completion
Working knowledge of AF Operations and impact of CBRN on mission/operations
Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) and/or US Government CWMD policy and strategy
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficiency with MS Office products
Knowledge of DoD organizations and functions
Ability to work from alternate, off-site locations as required
Required Clearance:
Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of Joint Commands
Knowledge of Joint Staff
Extensive knowledge of CWMD policy and doctrine
Knowledge of DAF organization, and Air Staff organization and responsibilities
Direct experience as a rated inspector, evaluator, or agile combat support experience working directly on the flight line in MOPP simulated CBRN environment
Expert user of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
