Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Manual Test Engineer to join our team in Herndon VA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited:

  • Analyze requirements across products and applications to identify acceptance criteria, test cases and test scenarios

  • Establish best practices and procedures for defining User Acceptance Tests and ensure delivery of high-quality products

  • Work with stakeholders to determine User Acceptance Tests and System Tests

  • Work closely with multiple development teams to ensure quality testing practices are incorporated across the development cycle

  • Write test cases, scenarios, and test data

  • Prepare test estimates, test plans and defect reports

  • Maintains test environments to ensure sufficient coverage for all projects

  • Deploys code into QA environment, as needed

  • Develop, and maintain effective working relationships with team members.

  • Provide status of testing to specific stakeholders and coordinate weekly sync-up meetings.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 3+ of experience using the full spectrum of software testing methodologies on web and non-web-based applications.

  • Knowledge of programming concepts and some experience in a software programming language.

  • Strong in observing/analyzing issues and communicating issues with clear and precise description.

  • Experience working in Linux/Unix environment

  • Experience using Defect Management tools

  • Experience with Negative Testing

  • Basic SQL database query knowledge

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills

  • Work with minimal management supervision.

  • Willingness to travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in web application UI models and how components interact via internet protocols (HTTP, SSL, Email, SOAP, XML, etc.).

  • Experience with Scrum, XP, or other Agile methodologies.

  • Experience with Docker and Command Line Interface (CLI)

  • Experience in Web service testing.

  • Experienced in performance test tools (JMeter, Grinder, etc.).

  • Experience in back-end testing using SQL.

  • Experience with source control tools preferred.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%, capable of operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, and frequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers
