Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Help Desk Administrator to join our team in Patuxent River, MD
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provides qualified personnel to function the Help Desk Support for the program office IT network system.
Supports access control by performing tasks to include, but not limit to, user account administration, password resets, account auditing, etc for Windows and Linux/UNIX based systems.
Provides resource management and scheduling of conference bridged and facilitation of secure conference rooms and meetings in classified facilities, and assist in setup and troubleshooting of secure VTC meetings.
Provides desk-side support including installation, troubleshooting and resolving computer and peripheral devices including drives, printer, scanners, input devices, related equipment.
Provides and perform a wide range of systems administration/life cycle management tasks to support and sustain the program office IT networks as directed by the Government IT Lead. Provides SA support for installing, configuration, maintaining, and operating Windows and Linux/UNIX based systems.
Coordinates the continuing implementation and administration on systems support applications software, decision support systems, and simulations that facilitate proactive and optimal system wide operations management.
Updates and maintains Cyber Security system patching, vulnerability and malware scans, in accordance and collaboration with the ISSM/ISSO, designs and implements approved security controls, in accordance with the RMF/JSIG, Rev 4, and as amended.
Provides an update of certifications to the ISSM, as part of the Monthly Technical and Cost Status Report and supply a hard copy of the certification to the ISSM upon request.
Communicate outage notifications and requirements, system metrics/performance reporting, and project status to the Government IT Lead.
Communicates system/network outages to the user community and develop plans and dates associated with tasks and provide status updates on a bi-weekly basis to the Government IT Lead.
Delivers monthly accomplishments and metrics project report for assigned projects and tasking that includes schedule and performance tracking.
Must be a self-starter who can take senior-leader guidance and intent, and oversee the operations of independent and collaborative, assigned projects tasked to the help-desk.
At least five (5) years of experience in an administrator / help desk position
Demonstrated experience in analysis simulation environment, configuring/troubleshooting software/hardware enhancements, application deployments, and infrastructure upgrades in a dynamic information system hosting environment.
Information Assurance Workforce certifications level 2 in accordance with DoD approved 8570.01 M
Education: BS or BA degree in a Computer Science or a related scientific discipline or five (5) or more years of experience in systems administration and analysis may be substituted for a BS or BA degree.
Security Clearance Requirements: Active Top Secret
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment.
