Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Release Manager to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead individual releases of software, hardware, or other system components
Leads the effort of recommending and/or defining release management tools strategy to ensure the process requirements or release management are built in.
Performs and documents all required builds to ensure reproducible software configuration baselines.
Responsible for implementing and managing release processes for code through development, test, and production environments
Management Analyst - Conduct organizational studies and evaluations, design systems and procedures, conduct work simplification and measurement studies, and prepare operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.
Manage the CI/CD pipeline to rapidly deploy new capabilities and updates to the customer.
Establishes and manages tool specific software libraries as required.
Executes release and change control functions using the designated software configuration management system/tool to ensure software product integrity and meet program schedules.
Generates and maintains all necessary program software development, release and change records including as built and status accounting records.
Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience performing release management
ITILv4 Foundations certified
Must have experience in documenting releases, risks and in maintaining the schedule of planned releases
Ability to meet Release Management metrics
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Experience in coordinating with QA, Development, packaging, and hardware teams.
Ability to exceed Release Management metrics
Security Clearance Requirements:
US Citizenship required, and active Top Secret adjudicated within the last 6 years
Active SCI or SCI eligibility
Must be able to obtain and maintain Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
This is a sedentary position.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
The person in this position must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
