Essential Function: Primarily responsible for going to customer homes, diagnosing the cause of a drain back up, unclogging the drain, and finding a way to prevent the clog from happening again.

General Purpose: Customer relations, problem solving and time management.

Role Responsibilities:
â?¢ Clear drains from bath tubs, showers, and/or whole house sewer mains
â?¢ Provides excellent customer service while properly addressing customer issues and ensuring effective, long-term problem resolution
â?¢ Perform light plumbing duties, such as installing a garbage disposal or faucet
Position Responsibilities:
â?¢ Keeps personal tools and equipment operable and up to date
â?¢ Maintains professional conduct and appearance in all working conditions
â?¢ All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor/manager

Essential Skills and Experience:
â?¢ No prior plumbing experience required
â?¢ Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
â?¢ Mechanically inclined with ability to troubleshoot and understand technical concepts
â?¢ Familiar & skilled in the safe use of basic hand tools
â?¢ High School Diploma or GED
â?¢ Basic computer & technology skills
â?¢ Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in the English language
â?¢ Must pass pre-employment drug test
â?¢ Must pass extensive criminal background check
â?¢ Must have an insurable driving record & valid driver license
â?¢ Able to meet Physical Demands and tolerate the physical Work Environment

Non-Essential Skills and Experience:
â?¢ Two (2) or more years of experience with customer service or sales
â?¢ Prior Plumbing experience a plus

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the person is frequently required to move about at customers' homes inside tight crawlspaces and ascend/descend ladders lifting one's own bodyweight through narrow entrances into attics. Must be able to identify and inspect equipment, parts, and colored wiring to safely test, repair, and install electrical connections with precise hand-eye motor skills.
â?¢ Individuals must be able to deadlift 90 pounds to a height of three feet or greater. This includes lifting and/or carrying materials required to fulfill the responsibilities of a drain specialist. This may include but is not limited to items such as toilets and drain cabling machines.
â?¢ Individuals must be able to hold and extend proper drain machines weighing at least 25 pounds for an extended time when applicable.

Mental Demands: Must be able to perceive and distinguish emotions, as well as deal with adversarial confrontations. Requires an ability to concentrate and prioritize multiple tasks at once. Conscious attention to detail is required to safely perform tasks.

Work environment: Frequently requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions and other hazards such as electrical shock, sharp objects, poisonous animals, etc. This job requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as directed by company policy.
