Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Administrator to join our team. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•    Shall maintain system configuration and monitoring of multiple UNIX and Linux operating systems; range from RedHat, Ubuntu, CentOS, FreeBSD, and Solaris.

•    Shall be able to build and maintain Linux kickstart and Solaris jumpstart servers.

•    Shall be able to build and maintain a NIS server. Knowledge of Centrify is a plus.

•    Shall be able to conduct software installations from RPM repositories, kickstart, and source.

•    Shall be able to review and understand system and application logs and audits.

•    Shall be able to troubleshoot Linux and UNIX flavor errors, installations, and system issues.

•    Shall be able to test and upgrade Linux and UNIX operating systems, kickstart, and jumpstart servers.

•    Needs to be proficient with networking protocols and Cisco configurations.

•    Needs to know scripting to automate frequent commands and action across multiple machines.

•    Needs to have experience with Linux BASH scripting.

•    Person selected will work closely with the Information System Security Officer to ensure adherence to security policies and requirements.

•    Person selected will work directly with development teams to ensure future needs, operating system upgrades, hardware purchasing.

•    Person selected will work directly with vendors on new purchases, server upgrades, and future Lab requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

•    Minimum Seven (7) years of experience in system administration of hardware and software in support of developing and testing of IT systems; with the emphasis on Linux and Unix systems.

•    Minimum five (5) years of demonstrated experience optimizing system operations.

•    Minimum five (5) years of experience in the administration of Linux and Unix systems.

•    Minimum five (5) years of experience with computer networking protocols including, but not limited to TCP, IP, UDP, HTTP(s), DHCP, and DNS.

Preferred Qualifications:

•    RedHat

•    CCNA

Required Qualifications (must have at least one):

•    CCNA Security

•    CySA+

•    GSEC

•    Security+ CE

•    CND

•    SSCP

Security Clearance Requirements:

•    Top Secret clearance with Polygraph

Physical Requirements:

•    Must be able to lift approximately 80 lbs.
•    Perform sedentary work
•    Must be able to rack and stack equipment
•    Must be able to bend and lift equipment
