Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Instructional Systems Designer to join our team in Springfield, Virginia!

The contractor shall provide the NGC with high-quality learning solutions that support the agency’s mandatory training requirements, GEOINT analysis, and workforce professional development. Learning solutions shall adhere to NGC curriculum development standards, the agency Style Guide, Intelligence Community (IC), and agency security policies and guidelines, and align with IC Directives and additional agency, IC, or DoD standards.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Design and develop learning solutions for delivery through multiple methods (classroom, blended, synchronous/asynchronous online, video, and performance support) using instruction systems design strategies, methodologies, multimedia principles, instructional technology tools, adult learning principles, and cognitive science theory.

  • Create effective learning solutions that support the transfer of learning through design and delivery mechanisms to be specified by NGC. Examples of design mechanisms (eLearning development software) currently include Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, and Snap, all of which are available on agency systems. Examples of delivery mechanisms currently include Blackboard, Adobe Connect, and Video Teleconferences (VTC).

  • Create all eLearning solutions in compliance with user accessibility guidelines (e.g., Section 508 Standards), and in a format that is ready for deployment according to industry standards and specifications (e.g., SCORM, xAPI, AICC, Common Cartridge).

  • Convert existing learning presentations into formats suitable for online delivery (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, etc.).

  • Devise test-out options (L-2 Course Assessments) for appropriate courses while they are in development. Test-out options may include multiple-choice questions, essays, true or false questions, and/or scenario-based questions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph

  • Seven (7) years of experience in developing and delivering curriculum for instructor-led training programs. Expert knowledge in adult learning theories, strategies, best practices, techniques of instructional development.

  • Bachelor in related area from an accredited (i.e., regional, national, or institutional) academic institution.

  • Experience teaching in this Customer's College

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • GEOINT experience

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph

SCHEDULED WEEKLY HOURS:

  • 40 (Full Time)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
