SAIC is hiring a self-motivated Sr. Project Manager with experience managing multiple IT projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will work directly with our City of Anaheim clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will coordinate activities to ensure all aspects of each IT project are performed to fulfill client needs. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Meet with the City to clarify specific requirements of each project
  • Work with the technical team to develop project proposals and coordinate through to approval
  • Delegate project tasks based on staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals - and produce bi-weekly project status updates 
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to monitor and track progress to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
  • Provide regular status reporting to both client and SAIC management, to ensure processes and best practices are being followed
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document the projects’ progression


Required Qualifications:

  • 6 years’ experience in project management
  • PMP Certification Preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge and experience with IT infrastructure and software application projects
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills
