Learning Alliance Corporation is a telecom trade school. Through direct and indirect employer partnerships, we recruit, educate, certify, and place students nationwide to over 200 telecom companies. LA's primary training program ("Broadband Digital Installer" or BDI) is a four-week live bootcamp-style training program where we prepare students for multiple telecommunications-related jobs including: telecom tower work (including climbing), fiber optic work, structured wiring, and others.

Tower Technicians AND Individuals interested in becoming Tower Technicians
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to the best of their abilities. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Please note that individuals NOT currently meeting the following requirements WILL after completing the required courses at Learning Alliance.
Responsibilities:
- Climb and work on communications towers to install, replace, and repair antenna systems equipment
- Ability to identify the tools and materials to properly perform the scope of work within spec
- Knowledge of the hazards associated with tower climbing, construction materials, and working near energized lines and equipment
- Assist in the installation of all aspects of wireless cell site foundations, grounding and conduits, with electrical installations where applicable
- Ensure highest level of safety and quality control requirements are upheld
- Installation of up-top equipment including masts, clamping, bracing, supports, antennas, RRUs, cabling, bolting, true up, shooting proper azimuth within tolerances, reading maps and a compass, torque to spec, labeling, picture-taking, documentation, plumb and tilt readings with smart level, etc.
- Responsible for tool inventory and upkeep daily on job site
- Troubleshoot and communicate equipment performance issues
Qualifications:
- Completion of the Learning Alliance BDI program
OR
- Must have 1+ Years of experience climbing and working on Towers
- OSHA 10/30, CPR/First Aid, RF Awareness, and Climb/Rescue certified
AND
- Must be able to climb and perform work at various heights, for long periods of time; operate lifts and aerial platform equipment; squat, bend, and lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work overtime to include weekends and /or nights
- Operation and adjustment of commonly used tools efficiently
- Current valid Driver's License
- Must be able to adhere to random drug/alcohol screening
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be a well-organized self-starter with strong attention to detail
- Must be able to climb to heights of 500ft'
