More Than a Job

We're hiring for two (2) remote Audit Managers รข?? Digital Currency supporting our East Hanover NJ office location. Friedman is proud to be at the forefront of this emerging industry, providing digital currency services to both domestic and international clients. Our expertise enables digital currency and distributed ledger technology companies, from start-ups to mature businesses, knowing that their accounting, reporting, and tax compliance requirements are properly managed and assessed. Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:

Performs detail review of audits, reviews and compilations for clients in various industries including but not limited to SEC, financial institutions, hedge funds, and broker dealers
Reviews financial statements and disclosures for appropriateness in form, content, completeness, and accuracy
Reviews required communications to the client, ensuring their completeness, accuracy and compliance with Firm and professional guidelines
Advanced technical knowledge of accounting and reporting standards
Identifies audit and risk management issues and proposes potential solutions through research and collaboration with Quality Review and Engagement Partner
Stays current on technical and industry developments and standards while evaluating potential impacts on their client engagements
Reviews audit procedures, workpapers and financial statements of staff with limited supervision from Partners
Conducts research, consults with team members, draws conclusions and prepares memos based on target issues
Oversees Seniors and Staff coordinating the day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork and wrap-up
Performs detail review financial statements, workpapers and evaluate internal controls
Primary client contact and liaison for complex issues that staff are unable to resolve; communicates effectively with clients and develop positive relationships with client personnel
Communicates with Partner on work status and client issues that arise
Performs a detail review of team's workflow and monitors tasks that are assigned and completed on a timely basis
Takes a lead role in client and team meetings and contributes new ideas and strategic initiatives
Stays current on technical and industry developments and standards while evaluating potential impacts on their client engagements
Formal mentoring relationships with all levels of staff
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
5+ years' experience in a similar role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Prior experience managing engagements and clients
Ability to work independently and also work well with others
Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Accounting
An interest in SEC or Digital Currency industry
CPA License or on track to obtain
2+ years' supervisory experience preferred
Software Experience - CCH ProSystem, Microsoft Office 365
