Then consider joining the members of the Enterprise Systems Engineering and Architecture team as they aid our customer in collaborating, integrating, and standardizing the engineering approach across the customers enterprise.

We have a current requirement for a highly experienced Chief Systems Engineer in support of their Cyber Security Corporate Capabilities Management Plan. The position will be at the customer's Linthicum, Maryland facility. complex. The selected candidate will provide direct, full-spectrum system engineering support to the mission customer with an emphasis on supporting a multi-organizational effort to integrate existing and new capabilities into a coherent plan. The customer’s goal is a plan that leverages existing corporate capabilities, while fully embracing new commercial solutions capabilities. The selected systems engineer must possess extensive systems engineering experience to include: system/software engineering and architecture experience spanning multiple years, requirements engineering, program/project management leadership experience, risk identification and management, data flow analysis, dependency identification, and interface definition.  The selected individual will:

  • Support the Program Management Office (PMO) in all areas and all phases of the system development lifecycle; examples of this support could include: CONOPS, Program Plans, Capability Roadmaps, Functional Requirements Documents, System and Functional Architecture artifacts, Analysis of Alternatives, Trade Studies, and Technology Gap Analysis.
  • Closely coordinate with multiple internal teams and external organizations supporting the program schedule.


  • Must have TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline
  • At least 20 years of systems engineering experience.
    • A high school diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
    • A Master’s degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience.
  • Knowledge of SIGINT and SIGINT authorities required
  • Knowledge of Data standardization principles
  • Have experience with managing Policy and compliance (i.e. purge concerns and requirements)
  • Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience with ETicketing and configuration management tools (i.e. Jira)
  • Experience with program/project management methods and tools
  • This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year.

Experience/Skills Desired but not required:

  • System engineering Support to Program Milestones such as Qtr. deliverables, and sprint planning
  • System engineering input to WEBS, IMS and other program documentation
  • Fit-gap analysis support
  • Business Process Re-engineering  
  • Creation of SE technical documentation
  • System engineering support to design reviews’ Navigating across organizations to bring people and ideas together to develop creative solutions
  • Creation and maintenance of systems engineering guidance, templates, and related products
  • Guidance on consistent use of systems engineering tools
  • Risk assessment to the programs to identify probability of occurrence and specified consequences in accordance with the program documented risk assessment plan
  • System engineering support to the Engineering and Architecture Review Board
  • Provide system engineering support to generate alternative system concepts and design solutions
  • Collect and maintain data necessary to support Strategic Planning such as Business Capability Roadmaps.
