The A&A Specialist will work as part of a cybersecurity team to ensure that the customer systems meet all the requirements for ATO. This role will be able to work closely with system teams to identify and solve complex problems.
Responsibilities include:
Advise and assist the customer with the Lifecycle Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process and in the development of a System Security Plan
Monitor, track, and update status of systems in the assessment process
Create and review A&A Body of Evidence (BOE) documentation
Help the customer build security into systems and services deploying into operational environments at multiple classification levels
Work with system owners to assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle
Contribute to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification and awareness activities for system and networking operations.
Basic Requirements:
US Citizen with a TS/SCI Polygraph Eligible clearance
Minimum 5 years’ experience with the Lifecycle Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process
Hands-on experience in working with IC networks.
Proven experience using COTS/GOTS tools to scan, identify, contain, mitigate, and remediate vulnerabilities and intrusions
Understanding of A&A Body of Evidence (BOE) documentation
Experience designing trusted interfaces among external systems and architectures
Knowledge of system security requirements definitions and controls
Experience in FISMA and other information assurance assurance-related compliance reporting.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including business writing on complex topics.
Preferred Requirements:
Hold an active security certification that meets DOD 8570 IAT level II or higher, such as Security+ CE or GIAC Critical Controls Certification (GCCC).
Experience with the Risk Management Framework.
