POSITION SUMMARY for Residential Electricians:



Beginner to Experienced Residential Electricians



We are looking for exceptional Residential Electricians to join our growing team. Isaac Electricians are dedicated to making our customers' homes safe, energy efficient, and comfortable. We install heating and cooling systems, standby generators, boilers, water heaters, humidifiers and more.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
Other duties as assigned.




QUALIFICATIONS:

Education / Experience

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
OSHA 10
Valid driver's license with a dependable driving record
Knowledge

Knowledge/Understanding of basic electrical
Knowledge/Understanding of basic heating and cooling
Experience working with sheet metal and electrical components
Mechanical skills and aptitude
Ability to work within a team and to be a productive team member.

Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discrimination in sound in order to successfully troubleshoot equipment.
Seeing. Ability to see in the following manner with or without corrective lenses: ability to read/see near or far, judge distances, and identify colors.
Attendance and punctuality (regular/predictable). Regular/predictable attendance and punctuality for this position is required.


Frequently (34% - 66%)

Adapting to temperature. Ability to work in hot or cold environments either inside or outside of the home.
Climbing. Ascending or descending stairs while transporting tools and equipment.
Kneeling/squatting. Bending legs at the knee to come to rest on knee or knees.
Pushing/pulling/reaching/grasping. Using upper extremities to exert force in order to push, pull, draw, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion. Ability to type is also required.
Lifting. Raising objects from a lower to higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position up to 50 lbs. Requires use of upper extremities and back muscles.
Talking . Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
