Slitter Machine Operator - Military veterans preferred

Classic Packaging Company is a manufacturer of printed plastic bags and rolls of plastic film.

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Slitter Operator trims films and creates precision rolls for high speed packaging machines.
Maintain production levels and quality.
Read work order to verify job being ran is setup correctly.
Do QC checks on each roll as they come off Slitter to make sure the highest quality product is being ran.
When job finishes, responsible for setting up the next job.
Fill out paperwork and data entry completely and accurately.
Keep slitter area clean and orderly.
Evaluate helpers progress and training needs.
Encourage, compliment, and create a positive workplace.
Comply with all safety requirements, including wearing of PPE.
Safely operate variety of material moving equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists to transport and lift materials finished products
Perform any other job duties as assigned by shift supervisor.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following:
The ability to take measurements in standard and metric.
The ability to learn new skills and apply them across a range of applications.
The ability to stand for an entire work shift (excluding breaks).
Positive attitude with a mentality for teamwork and a focus on quality.

Hours:
2nd shift :3pm-11pm plus a differential rate $1.00
3rd shift: 11pm-7am plus a differential rate $2.00
