Stellar J, a West Coast based employee-owned General Contractor, is seeking a Shop Manager in Woodland, Washington.

The Shop Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the operations of all equipment for effective maintenance and repair programs, equipment safety programs and equipment utilization on company job sites.

Primary Responsibilities:
â?¢ Manage procedures, make recommendation for purchasing and major repairs on equipment and yard owned materials including but not limited to cranes, ground engaging equipment,
hoists, trucks, and small engine equipment
â?¢ Inspection of all equipment when returning to/leaving shop, assist/perform maintenance, and repair of all equipment.
â?¢ Order, track and maintain small tools, power tools and other miscellaneous small equipment
â?¢ Manage the coordination of scheduled maintenance, inspections and repairs of major equipment.
â?¢ Review and coordinate outside equipment rental agreements
â?¢ Enforce company policies and safety regulations as it relates to all equipment. Perform monthly housekeeping verification
â?¢ Act as resource to estimating and operations with equipment rates and support needs related to project pursuits and active project site activity
â?¢ Act as a resource to project management teams regarding equipment needs and support for their project(s)
â?¢ Scheduling equipment to maximize equipment utilization throughout the company
â?¢ Supervise equipment department personnel to include management of workload, assignments and professional development
â?¢ Work with vendors to identify cost savings in new, used or rented equipment
â?¢ Written and verbal liaison between the company and regulatory bodies when appropriate (ex: Quarterly fuel tax, truck & vehicle licensing
â?¢ Work closely with administrative staff & insurance carrier when equipment is damaged.
â?¢ Oversee yard/materials
â?¢ Dispatch lowboy/flatbed/yard truck
â?¢ Monitor utilization of fleet and report to jobsites
â?¢ Other projects and tasks as assigned by Executives

Qualifications
â?¢ 5+ years of recent experience in related position
â?¢ Strong Construction and heavy equipment knowledge
â?¢ Experience in heavy equipment/electronic/hydraulic diagnostics and repair
â?¢ Preventative maintenance experience with heavy equipment
â?¢ Ability to facilitate projects and effectively manage multiple tasks
â?¢ Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and outside vendors
â?¢ Strong supervisory skills
â?¢ Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills
â?¢ Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
â?¢ Valid Driver's License
