Job Summary:

Maintains ownership of overall Retail Pharmacy USA (RPU) transformational program portfolio. Collaborates with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and business partners to facilitate the regular rhythm of touchpoints and action-oriented discussions on the RPU Three Year and Annual Plans. Leads the strategic project planning process for RPU – collaborating with Execution Operating Committee (EOC), SVP / C-Level, leadership and business partners to define / facilitate the cross-functional process required to develop / prioritize the strategic project plans. Develops a complete portfolio view - including the oversight required to actively manage the tools and standards providing inputs to the appropriate governance forums.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops and manages framework for continued assessment of the program portfolio, facilitating the prioritization of opportunities and driving the performance transformation programs.
  • Drives proactive cross-functional action planning for risks, mitigations and dependencies, ensuring programs deliver and/or exceed benefits plans.
  • Oversees the development and use of the Portfolio 360 tool (PPM Tool).
  • Builds team capabilities to ensure they are equipped to support business partners and have the tools to effectively manage programs and opportunity assessments.
  • Develops and mentors staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; builds and maintains employee morale and motivation; ensures the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies; fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Partners with key business stakeholders, including EOC and business leaders, to provide visibility into overall portfolio performance and serves as trusted advisor on transformation programs and intended benefits.
  • Performs financial analysis of all aspects of the department’s costs and operations.
  • Provides guidance and counsel in development of long range plans involving strategy development, resource allocation, work plans, timelines, and financial outcomes.
  • Manages transformation office program resource capacity and allocation, inclusive of internal and external resources
  • Leads collaboration with senior executives to design ongoing portfolio reporting by business area, up to the board level.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience in strategy, project management, and/or Finance OR High School/GED and at least 9 years of experience in strategy, project management, and/or Finance.
  • Experience facilitating strategic planning processes and roadmap development in collaboration with leadership teams.
  • Experience developing and managing business case life cycle management – including pressure testing outcomes with key business owners and managing progress, risks / mitigations and execution.
  • Experience effectively facilitating robust strategic planning processes, including developing compelling roadmaps, effectively driving cross-functional leadership forums to gain alignment on priorities / goals, and collaborating with business partners to measure progress.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally in a matrix structure and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience assessing a full program portfolio – identifying and evaluating cross-functional-dependencies and value acceleration opportunities.
  • At least 2 years of experience planning, developing, and managing departmental expense and capital budgets.
  • At least 3 years of experience of direct leadership and/or cross functional team leadership.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA/Master’s degree.
  • Management consulting experience.
  • Project Management certification.
