Job Summary

This role can be based at 433 W Van Buren Street, Chicago or as a remote work from home arrangement.
This role manages project implementation activities following a customer sale. Ensures customer implementations are completed on-time and within budget, thereby realizing the Company’s sales and profitability targets while meeting customer expectations for a successful implementation. Meets growth expectations for add-on sales and services, and for supporting the productivity and profitability goals of the sales team supported. This role collaborates with sales, service, engineering, and technical support resources to ensure implemented projects accurately address customer needs, and are appropriately supported by key stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manages the implementation of projects and customers closed by the sales team supported, prioritizing effort based on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identifies current and future customer services requirements. Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Serves clients by identifying their needs and providing technical advice of products. Proactively assesses solution specifications in light of changing customer requirements, and recommends solution changes that optimize value for both the customer and the Company.
  • Continually gauges customer satisfaction among key customer project stakeholders.
  • Develops success metrics, including ROI, adoption, and business-process impacts, and presents these to customer project stakeholders in a compelling fashion.
  • Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources by communicating project status and success metrics.
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines, market areas, channel, or teams supported.
  • Prepares presentations and reports for head office and keeps customer records.
  • Provides coaching and professional development to others enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
  • Pursues additional business development opportunities within customer firms, over and above required add-on selling expectations. Collaborates with sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered and advanced.
  • Monitors customer support for technical solutions implemented, and alerts the sales/account teams to potential customer satisfaction threats or competitor activity.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree + at least 4 years of experience in a sales engineering role or similar OR High School/GED + at least 7 years of experience in a sales engineering role or similar.
  • Experience in a business-to-business, large/strategic customer segment and/or technical experience in a comparable sales role
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Experience working with Cloud Platform Services, such as MS Azure or AWS
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
  • At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications
The following information is applicable to Colorado only, in accordance with the Colorado Pay Equity Act. In Colorado, an employee in this position can expect a salary/hourly rate between $110,340.00 and $196,200.00 plus bonus pursuant to the terms of any bonus plan, if applicable will depend on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.
