Job Summary The Application Architect designs and creates distributed applications and produces technical documentation. Collaborates closely with business partners to define new technical solutions that support strategic business priorities.
Designs software that processes, stores and serves data for use by others.
Researches new or alternative technologies and brings that knowledge to the team.
Interprets business requirements and produces technical documentation.
Collaborates across development teams to produce a consistent technical vison.
Is involved with the production of delivery pipelines.
Troubleshoots software and processes for data consistency and integrity. Integrates data from a variety of sources, assuring that they adhere to data quality and accessibility standards.
Anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur.
Interacts with internal and external peers and managers to exchange complex information related to areas of specialization.
Collaborate with data scientists to prepare data for model development

Bachelor’s Degree and at least 4 years of experience in software engineering OR High School/GED and at least 7 years of experience in software engineering
Advanced level skill in data storage technologies including RDMS, NoSQL and Data Lakes
Advanced level skill in Event Driven systems.
Advanced level skill in object-oriented programming languages such as C# and Java.
Experience working with public cloud providers such as Azure or AWS.
Experience working with partners in order to meet security and compliance standards such as SOC, HIPAA and HiTrust.
Experience working with architectural principles such as 12 Factor App and SOLID.
Experience guiding and coaching development teams.
Experience establishing and maintaining key relationships with internal (peers, business partners and leadership) and external (business community, clients and vendors) within a matrix organization to ensure quality standards for service.
Experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex business issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
Experience presenting to all levels of an organization
At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
Willing to travel up to 5% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Experience deploying containerized applications
Experience with Azure application deployment
Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or Azure Event Hubs
Experience working with data management best practices using data lakes and ETL methods
