Job Summary

Walgreens is partnering with Adobe to build Mass Personalization customer journeys to engage our customers and patients in a timely and thoughtful manner. With this partnership, we are actively migrating from on-prem legacy solutions to Azure Cloud Adobe best-in-class products. The IT Marketing Technology Campaign Developer II will be working on both migration work as well as new projects and functionality to further refine customer journeys to meet our customer and patients when and where most valuable and impactful.

As the IT Marketing Technology Campaign Developer II, you'll be responsible for Java and ETL development activities, as well as data identification and integration, fine-tuning performance, and optimization of campaign executions. These campaigns are both batch execution as well as real-time triggered communications. You will be collaborating and interacting day-to-day with program leads, data architects/engineers, other developers, QA personnel, and CRM personnel.

Job Responsibilities

  • Actively involved in the daily operational activities that generally influence important components / processes of the on-line technology function, including but not limited to writing code and scripts that provide desired functionality to the web-based software, typically for large, complex or leading edge sites, products and programs and developing software applications and tools.
  • Maintains and supports existing, and develops web-based applications and tools.
  • Contributes to software design.
  • Evaluates compatibility of programs with existing communications hardware and software.
  • Develops web-based prototypes and protocols to support established standards.
  • Anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur.
  • Coordinates cross-functionally to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Gathers and updates necessary information and communicates to appropriate parties.
  • May assist in incident resolution that may include on-call rotation.
  • May mentor less experienced members of the team.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 years of experience application development and maintenance OR High school / GED and at least 5 years of application development experience
  • Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community & with vendors.
  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics
  • Experience working with marketing technology solutions; experience with Adobe MarTech products, is highly preferred
  • Expertise writing professional, quality, secure, performance driven code
  • Experience with RAD and Agile software development methodology
  • Experience identifying operational issues
  • Experience making recommendations and implementing strategies to resolve problems in a timely matter
  • Experience with coding languages, such as Java, HTML, SQL, CSS, and Python
  • Experience with Cloud technologies. Azure Data Lake experience, highly preferred
  • Experience and understanding of encryption/decryption, privacy (HIPPA, PII, PHI) Security, CCPA
  • Strong communication skills: ability to comprehend business strategies and client needs then communicate clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Must have understanding and experience of complexities that come with large data volumes
  • Integration experience is a must, specifically with Integrated Marketing Technology Solutions and Integration of internal and external systems
  • Desire to keep up with the latest trends on new marketing technologies; willingness to learn new technologies and new features on existing technologies
