SUMMARY: Responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and start-up of HVAC systems utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatic and building automation systems (BAS), pipe fitting, welding and brazing and mechanical layouts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Performs repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial HVAC systems.
Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
Performs timely preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.
Inspects and maintains vehicles appearance, as well as, maintains the vehicle per fleet service recommendations and completes any necessary repairs.
Maintains tools and equipment by inspecting for signs of wear.
Documents work by completing paperwork on each job daily and closing out jobs in a timely manner.
Represents the company by serving as a customer contact and resource.
Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
As possible, keep current all manufacturers' products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
Provides technical support to customers.
Knowledgeable with the products and services offered by Brady and effective in the sales of those products and services.
Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as needed.
Ability to work an on-call basis periodically.
Knowledgeable with laptops, tablets, smart phones and smart glasses with ability to stay up-to-date with software upgrades and new applications.
Maintains service uniform and dress code.
Supervised the majority of the time.
Meets or exceeds quarterly goals and objectives.

Continually look for ways to improve our processes and ability to serve our customers effectively
Improve personal performance on a continual basis
Provide responsive and professional customer service.
Answer customer calls and correspondence professionally and in a timely manner.
Perform all duties with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
Immediately address any customer's concerns and follow-up with other Company personnel as required.
Follow all company safety programs and report any non-compliance to your Field Supervisor.
Notify Field Supervisor, Area Service Manager or Director of Safety of any unsafe conditions.
Proper PPE equipment must be used at all times when necessary.
Report all accidents and injuries to your Field Supervisor, Area Service Manager and HR immediately.
All training topics on safety completed and done during the month due.

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree or equivalent from a community college or technical school with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning; five years of commercial experience required.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient with laptops, tablets, smart phones and smart glasses and usage of Microsoft Office, Adobe, Apple-IOS, and basic apps. Proficient with applicable maintenance tools and
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid driver's license, Universal EPA certification
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively and proficiently present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

The physical demands of the position include occasional sitting; frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing; and constant standing, walking, reaching, and gripping. Material handling demands include lifting from floor level to overhead, with occasional lifting up to 115 lbs., frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., and constant lifting up to 25 lbs., placing the position in the Very Heavy Physical Demand Classification (PDC). Must be able to talk and hear. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

This position requires working outdoors, in mechanical/equipment rooms and possible extreme weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment. The associate is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock (high voltage); and vibration. The associate is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
