Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Configuration Manager to join our team in Chantilly, VA to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.

The information technology (IT) Configuration Manager (CM) establishes and maintains the configuration management program, including hardware, software, and documentation baselines.  Further, the IT CM sets configuration and data management policies and procedures as used by departmental and group personnel and other participating functions to ensure a standard and cost-effective approach to the application of configuration and data management requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • A qualified candidate will be responsible for configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational systems.
  • Work on developmental and operational teams to create and maintain configuration baselines supporting developmental and operational systems.
  • Use or recommend automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures.
  • Develop or modify CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system.
  • Implement CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements/capabilities baselines to system end-of-life. Perform change control and configuration audits.
  • Plan, identify, and maintain the original and current configuration baseline of hardware, software, and documentation.
  • Define provisions for configuration management planning, identification, improvement, change control, status accounting, and audits.
  • Implement hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain the overall CM process for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration.
  • Regulate the change and release process and conduct quality assurance audits.
  • Support and facilitate auditing and reporting processes.
  • Analyze configuration issues and propose appropriate resolutions.
  • Maintain configuration data security, quality, and integrity.
  • Provide cross-team support for changes resulting from projects, operations and maintenance, incidents, and problems.
  • Organizes and implements processes for tracking trends, shortfalls and surpluses for evaluating functions against established policies and procedures.  Makes recommendations on auditing, reporting, and improvements to ensure hardware, software, and documentation integrity is maintained throughout the product and system lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, and ten to twelve years of experience in the application of MIL and DoD requirements and management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL knowledge and familiarity
  • Working knowledge with ServiceNow
  • Experience with the Intelligence community

Security Clearance Requirement:

Active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph is required

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
