Seeking a highly motivated, strong, well-rounded engineer to assist with the engineering design, development, and implementation to an existing mission system leveraging public cloud services. The candidate will work in an operational environment that is highly reliant on public cloud and related emerging technologies. The candidate will be part of a team to provide resilient and creative internet-based solutions. Team members provide recommendations/upgrades to existing system, make recommendations on innovation for developing new functionality. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily operations and maintenance, which includes assisting with extension, enhancement, refactoring, and architecture of the existing operational system and responding to a variety of ad hoc requests.
Responsibilities include:
New development as well as O&M to existing public cloud infrastructure
Support and enhancement of public cloud infrastructure
Development of scripts for automation purposes (Ansible, etc)
Customization and configuration of COTS products
Configuration of cloud hosted load balancers, routing tables, NAT gateways, VPC peering connections, VPN appliances, and other cloud-related laaS services
Coordination with senior managers, technical personnel, partners, and customers
Research both existing technology and emerging technology and be able to rapidly design, test, document, and deploy
Non-engineering tasks such as account creations, account setups, process improvement, etc.
Qualifications
Required:
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Technical degree and 3 years of technical expertise, additional 4 years of experience if no degree
Demonstrated experience in designing, securing, and automating the deployment of/in Windows and/or Linux environments
Cloud literate (hands on experience) and can function across multiple cloud providers: Microsoft, Google, Amazon.
Cloud system administration experience (ranging from application management to network management) and/or public cloud certification to include AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
Desired:
Demonstrated experience writing Linux shell scrips (bash preferred)
Demonstrated experience with writing cloud deployment scripts
Demonstrated experience in drafting and contributing to a full range of architectural and engineering documentation, such as system security plans, user guides, etc
Demonstrated experience with event correlation and root cause analysis skills
Demonstrated experience with development and/or maintenance of large scale enterprise programs which include the integration of COTS solutions
Demonstrated experience with host based and/or endpoint protection configuration
Demonstrated experience with network security best practice configuration in cloud computing environments
Demonstrated experience with mobile Android emulators (Genymotion)
