Engineering IT Support Specialist - Military veterans preferred

SUMMARY
This position calls for an individual capable of pioneering IT systems, architectures, and processes. This IT professional would work independently and provide IT support to the Engineering community through the use of diverse technologies, including Active Directory, Hypervisors, Group Policy Management, Windows servers and workstations, Storage Area Networks (SAN), and beyond. This critical role will ensure Engineering users are able to function unimpeded on core business operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This is an IT position with tasking that includes applying the latest technologies in the design and development of leading-edge IT infrastructures. Candidates should be self-motivated and possess the ability to collaborate effectively with teams to diagnose and troubleshoot issues. Specific duties and responsibilities include:
�?�· Manage and maintain Active Directory environment of over 850 accounts
�?�· Provide Windows/Linux desktop support to the Engineering community and interface with Corporate IT as needed
�?�· Create and configure workstations for new hires
�?�· Manage on-premise computational resources, SANs, and workstations
�?�· Integrate and automate identity management systems
�?�· Mentor other team members and lead team projects
�?�· Interface with other functional departments and determine needs and solutions
�?�· Collaborate on design and development of cybersecure cloud infrastructures
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
A bachelors in CS, EE, or related Engineering discipline, and/or equivalent experience/training is
required. Experience with the following technologies and capabilities is required:
�?�· Experience Windows and Linux administration
�?�· Active Directory Management
�?�· Virtualization/Hypervisor (VMware, Xenserver)
�?�· Network troubleshooting
�?�· Identity Management and Group Policy updates
�?�· Installing and configuring both Windows and Linux Operating systems
�?�· Infrastructure monitoring and performance analysis experience
�?�· Experience with process automation and scripting technologies including Windows Powershell, Bash, and Python
Experience with the following technologies is preferred:
�?�· DNS �?�· Networking experience
�?�· ZFS
�?�· SAN support with Samba
PREFERRED SKILLS
