Field Service Technician - Military veterans preferred

SUMMARY:
The Field Service Technician (FST) is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment within the Western Print Systems, Inc. (WPS) market space. This equipment includes both that which is sold by WPS as well as select equipment which is foreign to WPS's offering. The FST conducts the majority of their Support functions within the WPS Find, Support, and Replace strategy. The FST is dispatched from the Technical Service Group (TSG) office and is responsible for the schedule created. The FST plays a critical role in creating customer relationships as well as customer satisfaction. A successful FST will be able to combine technical expertise with the WPS culture and core values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
â?¢ Maintain technical relationship with WPS (equipment and fluids) customers within your Service Center.
â?¢ Provide on-site technical support, field repairs and system level troubleshooting of various make/model CIJ / Laser / Labelers / Thermal Transfer / Drop on Demand / and TIJ based Printing and Labeling systems.
â?¢ Execute daily activity as scheduled by WPS Corporate Office.
â?¢ Support multiple aspects of our business (ink sales, machine sales, service contract sales) by delivering exceptional service and leveraging professional relationships.
â?¢ Work with WPS Sales Managers to assist in forward direction / opportunity recognition / proper technology qualification and execute WPS Service Offering to prospects.
â?¢ Submit reports in keeping with company reporting processes in a timely manner.
â?¢ Your schedule may include after-hours, event support and on-call situations as needed.
â?¢ Work with TSG Manager and Field Service team members to ensure adherence to WPS Service Standard
â?¢ Training and cross-training is on-going. This requires attendance to scheduled training and/or meetings at the Corporate Office and Manufacturers facilities.
â?¢ Train customer staff and other WPS Field Service Technicians.
â?¢ Out of Town Travel up to 25%.
