Field Service Technician (Full Time St. Louis, MO AREA) â?? Oil and Petroleum Industry

Growing and expanding its reach to provide these professional services to other partners abroad that are in need. Currently looking to fill FULL-TIME permanent positions in the St. Louis, MO area. The job requires a self-managing individual that is motivated, responsible, person of integrity, troubleshooting abilities, problem solving, can operate under the pressures of time sensitive call responses, able to work OT and DT when required, able to fit into an On-call Rotation for 24/7 services, a team player, and must an exercise customer courtesy conscience attitude. Job Description: Field Service Technician is a person certified in the equipment and products at petroleum facilities. These certifications range from Gas Pumps/Dispensers (Dresser Wayne, Gilbarco, Bennett), ATG (Automatic Tank Gauges, Veeder Root), Lubrication Equipment (Graco). With the knowledge and certifications these individuals hold, a higher standard of service to our partners is expected. As a technician you will be challenged in many ways and no day is the same with the various services you will provide. A technician is expected to troubleshoot and identify problems that would hinder our partners from serving their customers. After identifying the problem, the technician must fix the issue which could range from changing parts and components related to hardware failure, reloading of software due to errors that may hinder the operations of fueling, finding and replacing faulty wiring (high and low voltage), or performing upgrades and installs of equipment.
Equipment Serviced: â?¢ Gas and DSL pumps and dispensers â?¢ Submersible Turbine Pumps â?¢ AST and USTs (Above Ground and Below Ground Tanks and their components, probes, sensors, interstitial, etc.) â?¢ Piping (if there is a leak found tech must fix with pipe wrenches and fittings. Larger leaks would move to our construction team) â?¢ Electronics (Circuit Board troubleshooting and using multimeter on test points or in finding a lack of voltage needed) â?¢ Relays (Relays used in STP systems) â?¢ Lubrication Equipment (Meters and Pneumatic Piston Pumps)
What a Typical Day Looks Like: â?¢ First call in the morning is sent to technician from dispatcher. â?¢ Technician receives the service call and goes over the issues presented. â?¢ Technician dispatches to location where service is needed. â?¢ Upon arrival Technician must check into the system used by the location. This lets our partner know we are on site and working. â?¢ After check-in Technician is to go inside of the location and introduce him/herself to the site management team and provide a short summary of the work you are about to provide. â?¢ Diagnose and troubleshoot the issue. Repair onsite. If parts are required and a follow up visit, please properly note this with the site and tracking systems. â?¢ When work is complete technician must let the site management team know the status and complete any documentation the location requires and have the site management sign the service ticket. â?¢ Prior to leaving the location the tech must notify dispatch to receive the next service call. Technician MUST check out of the client's location using their provided system. â?¢ Process repeats until all service calls are completed for the day. Overtime may be required.
24/7 On-call Service: Technicians work on a weekly rotation of on-call. This means that after normal business hours the on-call tech is required to respond to any of our partners emergencies. Example would be if a site is completely down (meaning they are unable to pump fuel). The site would request our company to respond to this call within a window of time. Our company would then contact the on-call technician to immediately respond to the call and bring the site back online.
Job Requirements: â?¢ High School Diploma â?¢ ICC Cathodic Protection U4 Certification or Equivalent â?¢ Technical Schooling (Preferred but not required) â?¢ Minimum 2 Years' Experience ' â?¢ Veterans of the Armed Services from Petroleum MOS/ASFC/RATING (Preferred not Required) â?¢ Electricians Welcome (not required) â?¢ Able to show up on time and meet deadlines â?¢ Hand Tools Expertise â?¢ Mechanically Inclined â?¢ Self-managing abilities â?¢ Critical Thinking â?¢ Able to lift 70lbs â?¢ Must be customer friendly and maintain a good attitude that would reflect upon our company â?¢ Good communication skills â?¢ Basic computing skills â?¢ Licensed Driver & clean driving record â?¢ Operate with a sense of urgency â?¢ Willing to work OT and DT hours â?¢ A level of knowledge with Electric High and Low Voltage â?¢ Integrity (own your mistakes, we all have them) â?¢ Golden Rule â??
