Process and inspect raw meats and proteins within the Fresh Foods Manufacturing Commissary.

Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
Certification or Licensing Desired but not required: Food Safety
Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds

Job Responsibilities:
-Utilize both manual and automated methods to process meats.
-Monitor automated equipment and report inconsistencies to management
-Documentation of volume metric yields, utilizing proper procedures and guidelines.
-Control quality and production costs through strict adherence to recipes and production procedures, monitoring waste and loss, and improved work efficiencies.
-Detailed accuracy of staging, batching, and throughput metrics.
-Coordinate and perform equipment and plant Sanitation, as needed.â??â??â??â??â??
-Maintain a safe and clean working environment by ensuring that all food safety, food holding, temperature, Giant Eagle and OSHA standards are met.
-Maintain accurate production records, HACCP and QA documentation to ensure that all meet the federal, state, county and Company requirements.
-Inspect and evaluate equipment requirements to ensure efficiency and safety.
