SUMMARY: The software product manager role is part of our Business Unit team supporting Innovation, Supply Chain and Product Lifecycle Management business groups. This PM collaborates closely with sales, strategic customers, market leaders, business unit management, software teams, development, and quality engineers with a strong relationship with internal and external data analytics teams to plan and execute a product roadmap and launch strategy in support of our software product offerings.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with business stakeholders to plan, estimate, and prioritize development work efforts and manage the sprint lifecycle through feature design to platform release
  • Lead cross-functional agile teams across software engineering, quality, and operations, through development and launch of new features and technologies
  • Align the product vision and roadmap with feature solutions and deployment release schedule
  • Translate requirements into workable user stories to plan, prioritize, and estimate sprint activities and backlog
  • Support development and quality engineer teams to ensure feature acceptance criteria are met
  • Manage the development process to achieve planned objectives of the product and features
  • Work closely with business product teams as a subject matter expert who can answer questions raised by the technical/developer community
  • Write and maintain technical and project documentation
  • Understand the competitive landscape and keep abreast of industry trends and developments
  • Create and deliver presentations to potential clients, including product demonstrations and proposals
  • Will require up to 50% Travel

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly supervises multiple employees within several department(s).
  • Indirectly supervises multiple employees within several department(s).
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of software product management experience or equivalent
  • 3+ years in a fast-paced IT, Software or Data Analytics related environment
  • Experience working in and advocating for agile practices and environments
  • 2+ year of experience managing, coaching, and developing Product Managers
  • Experience in Software development and release Product Lifecycle Management departments
  • Experience working with engineering leads to establish acceptance criteria for development work and user acceptance testing efforts
  • Be comfortable with database queries to measure performance KPIs and evaluate experiments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently
