KMS Solutions is seeking motivated individuals to join our team to provide Engineering Support Services to the Program Executive Office Submarines for Ship Building (TEAM SUB SHAPM) program offices at the Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard in Washington DC.
Specific program offices and organizations supported include PMS 397 - COLUMBIA Class Submarine Program Office and PMS 450 - VIRGINIA Class Submarine Program Office.
PMS 397 �?�??�?�?�?�¢�?�???�?�??? The COLUMBIA Class Acquisition Program Office is responsible for the acquisition of the OHIO Class replacement and for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the Research & Development, design, construction, Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E) of the COLUMBIA Class. The program is a major defense acquisition program and is of significant political importance with Congress and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).
Job Overview & Responsibilities
This position is for a Navy Logistics Analyst with submarine experience to support an active contract with the U.S. Navy in the Washington, DC area. The successful candidate will implement and manage all DMSMS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources Material Shortages) functions and requirements for the COLUMBIA Class Program Office and provide continuous management of materials and piece parts to ensure continued availability for production and maintenance of the submarine.
Essential Functions

Provide daily support to the Integrated Logistics Services Management team.
Coordinate with Logistic PAPM and field activities to establish funding priorities.
Compile and submit Task Assignment Sheets to initiate financial transactions.
Provide biweekly metrics reports to Business Financial Manager.
Track and reconcile In-Service funds obligation and expenditure status.
Provide direct interface with NAVSUP-WSS, NAVSUP-GLS, NAVSUP-FMS, NAVSUP-DLA Contracting and DLA Centers
Interface between ISEA and NAVSUP for Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS) in support of Interim Supply Support (ISS) spares procurements
Required Education and Experience:
A current or active DoD Secret clearance.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and continuously
Ability to quickly learn to efficiently use the tools available to research and monitor your industrial base (e.g. IHS, AVCOM, Thomas Register)
Ability to grasp an understanding of legal constraints for DMSMS contracting and purchasing; the business and financial rules governing DMSMS; and DoD DMSMS requirements and practice (SD-22 and DAU are very good jumping-off points)
Bachelor's degree. (7 years of experience with Navy logistics systems may replace the degree requirements)
Competencies
Experience with submarine logistics and an understanding of submarine maintenance and its operating environment
Experience supporting a NAVSEA program office
Basic electronics background (STS, ET, FT, IT, etc.).
Experience with MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Communication proficiency.
Thoroughness and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and with a team.

Up to 10% travel may be required.
