JOB DESCRIPTION/ANNOUNCEMENT *
STS International is seeking an experienced CBRNE Field Service Technician who will provide training, maintenance, and supply support for the fielded National Guard and Army Reserves' Chemical and Biological, Detection Equipment [Biological Integrated Detection Systems/Joint Biological Point Detection Systems (BIDS/JBPDS).
POSITION ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *
Provide the maintenance, repair, and calibration of test equipment IAW OEM specifications and relevant TMs. This includes the Universal Mobile Tester (UMT) used in conjunction with maintenance troubleshooting and repairing of all JBPDS and biological suites.
Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures.
Provide for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of test equipment and tools. These items shall require calibration: Multi-meter Digital, BAWS flow meter, Blower flow meter and Wattmeter.
Utilize the LIS for collecting, accessing, tracking, and reporting maintenance data and documentation.
Maintain inventories of equipment, tools, consumables, and spare and repair parts. monitor performance, expiration dates, and shelf life of all JPS consumables and materials.
Manage materials with shelf-life expiration dates to optimize use and reduce waste
due to expiration dates of supplies being exceeded
Procure, stock, and maintain sufficient quantities of consumables and spares to support daily operations, meet all requests (i.e., FTXs, etc.), and provide for surge requirements during operations.
Assist Government personnel with installation access and transportation during quality inspections and site visits, with coordination and approval from the Government.
MINIMUM/GENERAL EXPERIENCE *
Five (5) years' experience supporting complex systems and equipment, three (3) of which is in direction relation to the sustainment of Biological Detection Systems.
Ability to adhere to schedules to meet mission requirements.
Maintain inventories and enter pertinent information into a Logistics Information System (LIS) such as Maximo.
Experience in logistical operations to include maintenance.
Experience working in the Chemical, Biological, Radiation, Nuclear, Energy (CBRNE) field and with related equipment.
Additional Preferred Experience
Experience as an instructor, preferably with experience with operator training or new equipment training.
Prior experience working overseas is highly desired.
Additional Candidate Requirements
Possess a current United States passport.
Support for Training events may be conducted using a non-traditional schedule that could include weekends.
Willing to travel to and work at a US Gov't facilities in austere conditions
CONUS & OCONUS travel
Must be able to demonstrate ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
