Install, dismantle, or move machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, or other drawings.
· Keep machines, mechanical equipment or the structure of an establishment in repair.
· Safely troubleshoot, identify, and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
· Assemble, install and set equipment such as shafting, motors, generators, air compressors and conveyors using hand and power tools.
· Align machines and equipment using manual hoists, jacks, and hand tools.
· Duties also may involve pipefitting, insulating, welding, machining, carpentry, installing, aligning and balancing new equipment, and repairing buildings, floors and stairs.
· Achieve and maintain forklift, lift LO/TO certification
· Maintain housekeeping for a clean and safe working environment
· Work safely and as a team player
· Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Requirements
Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Skills: Ability to multitask to ensure critical plant operations run without issues or disruptions to production.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in heavy industry. Foundry experience preferred.
Abilities: Must be able to achieve forklift, LO/TO certification.
