Title:

Space/Ground Systems Engineer

KBR is seeking a highly motivated Space/Ground Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership on small to large scale space programs and must possess a thorough understanding of satellite systems, subsystems, and program acquisition.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • This individual must possess a BS degree (graduate degree preferred) in engineering, computer science, math or other related technical discipline.
  • The candidate will have a minimum of 5-10 years experience exposure to activities associated with the acquisition of a new space system, from developing and analyzing system concepts, assessing system design options, analyzing mission and requirements, monitoring development, integration and test activities, and in operations.
  • Five years of Intelligence Community or National Programs experience is required

?Desired Qualifications:

  • Specialty experience in the following or other related technical areas is also desired: spacecraft bus subsystems such as in Power, Thermal, Attitude Control, Structures and Mechanisms, Propulsion, Telemetry, Tracking and Command (TT&C), Command and Data Handling (C&DH), Fault Management, Flight Software, Environmental Testing, Integration and Test, Parts, Materials and Processing (PMP), Manufacturing and Production, Quality Assurance, and Reliability.
  • We are additionally seeking personnel with experience in payload/sensor technology, including: environmental sensors, communication, SIGINT, and IMINT payloads.
  • This individual will be able to support a fast-paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills, be a self-starter, and be able to partner with various teammates to support all research and development aspects of a program through the lifecycle.
  • Must be able to provide solutions to a variety of technical issues of varying scope and complexity associated with small to large scale satellite developments.
  • Specific knowledge of the National Reconnaissance Office is highly desired.

Clearance: TS/SCI clearance required.

Basic Compensation:

108,445.00 - 162,725.00 USD Annual

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
