Title:

Software Test Engineer

KBR, in support of our Remote Sensing Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team, has an immediate need for a Software Test Engineer with test and verification planning, and software integration experience in Department of Defense (DoD) space-based and ground systems. We are looking for innovative, creative, and highly motivated individuals to support the strategic planning and tactical execution of software test and verification activities. Candidate will provide test, verification and integration support to the Space Systems Command’s (SSC) MW and EM mission areas. This position is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Major duties of the position include:

  • Execute software test planning, test execution, and test closure for requirement verification
  • Support analysis and simulation activities to ensure MW and EM enterprise and systems end-to-end performance
  • Lead the development of test planning documents that guide the test approach for MW and EM capability areas
  • Support quality Integrated Test Team (ITT), Integrated Product Team (IPT) and Working Group meetings and action resolution
  • Working closely with internal and Government stakeholders to develop, review and release test and verification plans to support fielding decisions for MW and EM systems
  • Supporting and reviewing external requirements verification events and generating metrics/reports on requirements verification status
  • Support test article tracking, deficiency reporting and test report generation
  • Analyze and support MW and EM verification and validation test activities
  • Participate in risk mitigation test activities system integration demonstrations and Modeling & Simulation
  • Coordinate test activities with development contractors and staff from the Government and Federal Funded Research & Development Centers

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and fourteen (14) years of systems integration and systems engineering related or equivalent experience, or Master’s degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and ten (12) years of systems integration and systems engineering related or equivalent experience
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Experience testing software in a development environment
  • Experience working across space and ground segment organizations to coordinate and identify system requirements that ensure end-to-end mission performance requirements are met
  • Demonstrated experience working with Space Force/Air Force/DoD customers in an acquisition environment, with space and/or ground systems
  • Experience writing and delivering technical documents and briefings

Salary range 155-180K

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
