The Role

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join a dynamic team of professionals in a growing Defence environment. As Project Manager (PM), you will work to plan, organise, coordinate, and control engineering projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.

The PM role shall assist with the drafting and administration of contracts (specifically ASDEFCON Contracts) and provide commercial and administrative support to the KBR Team Lead. This will involve quality assurance services associated with the functioning of the L154-2 Force Protection Electronic Countermeasures ( FPECM) project team.

The required services may include, but are not limited to, the provision of specialist advice and/or direct support of a team working through the Capability lifecycle process on land-based platforms. The PM will also be required to work as part of small and cohesive team and will be responsible for becoming the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) specialist and Team Lead key support person. Further responsibilities include:

  • Drafting Gate documentation, briefings and presentations.
  • Development and progression of international agreements (FMS and/or Project Arrangements).
  • Provision of support and coordination of workshops and meetings.
  • Provision of support to KBR Team Lead, from a project management perspective.
  • Be a proactive and enthusiastic team member.
  • Drafting ASDEFCON Contracts.
  • Assisting with compilation and review of monthly reports.
  • Tracking and managing project financials.

Required Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge

  • Project management qualifications (such as registered Project Managers under AIPM), or a degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with Defence Land platforms.
  • Familiarity with development of Capability Lifecycle documentation (CASG).
  • Familiarity with Foreign Military Sales.
  • Familiarity with Force Protection Electronic Countermeasures.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Must be an Australian Citizen with a current AGSVA NV1 security clearance.
