Project Engineer
KBR is seeking a Project Engineer to work with one of the largest EPC firms in the country. This position is located at a client site in Raleigh, NC. No Per Diem or Relocation will be offered.
Job Description:Working with leadership, technology, maintenance, operations, and engineering, the Project Manager is accountable to the site business unit for engineering projects implementation and status reporting, and to site engineering team for the optimum utilization of design resources, compliance with all project systems and utilization of site and corporate work processes.
Responsibilities:
Works with internal clients to identify and justify small projectsFacilitate the projects planning process to generate a clearly defined and prioritized list of jobs to be implemented; Ensures that basic data is assembled so that a project team can execute the project efficientlyLeads the project from the client side from initiation through execution, commissioning, and close-outLead routine meetings to report on overall minor capital projects status to area leadership.Manage the minor project budget and forecasts expenditures.Participate in site-wide minor capital projects process improvement initiatives. Facilitate the overall process and address design issues that impede success.Provide feedback to Contractor site management and site engineering leadership regarding effectiveness of site team personnel.
Requirements:
Engineering degree is required (Mechanical is preferred)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsMust have the ability to work in a team environmentShould be familiar with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
