Title:

Sr Technical Professional - Engineering Safety

Technical/Functional Responsibilities:

  • Person shall have 8 -12 of years HSE Engineering experience (technical safety/ process safety) in the Oil & Gas industry, possess good solid knowledge of Oil & Gas facilities, Regulatory codes & standards and the ability to influence designs to achieve optimal HSE outcomes.
  • Under supervision or independently carry out Design Safety Philosophy, HSE Plan and specifications for fire protection systems (active & passive), data sheet for firefighting systems.
  • Assist/ Participate in Process Hazard reviews and analysis including HAZOP/HAZID/SIL studies and carry out Actions close-out.
  • Support in review/ consolidate comments and co-ordination in Third Party Studies including FERA, Dispersion analysis, EERA, ESSA, Dropped objects study, QRA studies. Etc.
  • Under supervision/independently carry out analysis and design of Active and Passive Fire Protection systems and Prepare Hazardous Area Classification documentation, Safety & Fire Fighting layouts and other Safety drawings
  • Carryout fire water demand calculation, fire water hydraulics, fire/foam P & Ids etc.
  • Support to Package Engineer for Safety & Fire Fighting Equipment.
  • Interact/co-ordinate with designers & provide inputs for safety layout preparations for projects, as required.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university. With 4-8 years HSE Engineering experience (process safety/ technical safety) in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Experience in design projects for Offshore (FPSO/Platforms) and Onshore (Refineries, LNG facilities, Storage terminal etc.).
  • Possess good knowledge of Oil & Gas facilities, international regulatory codes & standards and the ability to influence designs to achieve optimal HSE outcomes.
  • Familiar with HAZID, HAZOP, SIL reviews and other safety reviews (e.g. SIMOPS, ALARP) is preferred.
  • Good working knowledge in PIPENET Vision, Flaresim and other consequence modelling software such as DNV PHAST etc. preferred.
  • Person shall be good team engineer and shall have pro-active inter-discipline communication.
