Title:

Sr Configuration Management Engineer

KBR is seeking a Configuration Management Engineer with practical space experience to provide Systems Engineering & Technical Advisory (SETA) support services to work with the customer to lead configuration management efforts. For this program, you will be integrating space and ground development with complex user and broad system interfaces. The candidate should possess demonstrated working knowledge of large space/ground systems integration and test activities.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide Systems Engineering expertise as part of a world-class Engineering and Integration team
  • Conduct and maintain Configuration Management of program baseline
  • Develop briefings and assessments to a variety of audiences, and convey information in a clear and articulate manner to Government leadership
  • Strategize with government, SETA and industry partners to conceptualize a future ground architecture to drive the customer's new space architecture
  • Collaborate across multiple teams to refine requirements and system trades
  • Provide programmatic and acquisition support to include drafting Request for Proposal and Statement of Work material and participating in source selection activities
  • Participate in design reviews and technical interchange meetings to assess and guide development activities performed by development contractors
  • Review development contractor’s documents and procedures, requirements flow down, verification methodologies, calibration plans, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and test plans to ensure program success
  • Technical and programmatic support through the entire project life cycle including concept development, system definition, acquisition planning, source selection, system design, development, integration and test, system delivery, and mission operations

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in STEM and at least 9 years' experience; Masters and 7 years or more experience
  • Experience in systems integration and configuration management

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with lifecycle systems integration
  • Experience in Space and SIGINT
  • Experience with DOORS Next
  • Experience in large systems acquisition
  • Experience in leading contractor/industry teams
  • Experience with Agile software development

Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain a poly

Basic Compensation:

136,160.00 - 204,240.00 USD Annual

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
