About the Role

KBR currently has an excellent opportunity for an experienced ICT/Networking Instructor to provide high quality trade related education and technical training services to RAN & RAAF Electronic Technicians. This position is based within the Technical Training Faculty at HMAS Cerberus, Crib Point, Victoria.

To secure this position, ideally you will possess:

  • As a minimum Certificate III in ICT or equivalent. (essential)
  • A minimum of five years’ workplace experience with comprehensive ICT knowledge and skills. (Essential)
  • Experience with ICT, computer assembly and disassembly, network diagnosis and/or repair, and Cisco network experience .
  • A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE40116. (Desirable)
  • Sound knowledge of Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015. (Desirable)
  • A sound understanding of the principles of Adult learning. (Desirable)

This role also requires you to have experience in Microsoft Office, be highly organized, have exceptional communication skills, enjoy managing multi tasks, and working in a dynamic team environment. This role also requires the applicant to be flexible and driven to learn new skills and participate in the delivery of non-ICT related training modules (including, but not limited, to WHS, Environmental sustainability, electronic drawing fundamentals and principles).

Applicants that do not hold a current Certificate IV in training – TAE40116 are still encouraged to apply. You would be required to complete this qualification, through the Company’s pathways, within the first 12 months of employment.

As a civilian trade instructor operating within a military environment, respect for Australian Defence Force (ADF) ethos and practice is a requirement.

Appointment to this position is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining a Defence Security Clearance which includes being an Australian citizen.?
