Elect Tech Maintenance III

Electronics Technician Maintenance III

This is an SCA position.

This position will independently plan and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on complex electronic intrusion detection systems.

You will serve as an expert in intrusion detection systems that include video (IR and day), access control (card readers and keypads), RADAR perimeter security, intrusion detection (PIR and BMS), mass notification equipment and a variety of communication networks.

Typical duties include:

  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on intrusion detection and surveillance systems of various types and manufacturers
  • Recommend solutions to design problems.
  • Perform system tests and analyzing results, modifying equipment or installations to improve performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Desired: Associate's degree in electronics technology or a two-year civilian technical electronics curriculum or a four-year trade apprenticeship-training program in electronics or graduate of a military Class "A" electronics school.
  • Previous Intrusion Detection System experience can be substituted at the rate of one years experience for each year of education.
  • Must have as a minimum (8) eight years hands-on experience in the field of electronics, electrical and/or communication equipment installation.
  • Experience must include operational, maintenance and team lead work assignments.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance.

Additional preferred skills a plus:

Working knowledge of multiple systems to include:

  • AMAG alarm monitoring and access control systems
  • DMP alarm monitor and reporting systems
  • FLIR RADARs and cameras
  • Genetec NVRs
  • Pelco cameras, DVRs, and video switchers
  • Networking protocols TCP/IP, network hubs, switchers, server connectivity
  • Windows Servers
  • Cisco Switches
  • Fiber communication equipment
  • WAVES MNS
  • Southwest Microwave Intrepid fence sensors
  • MS Server, Windows, Cisco, Security + and/or Tower Climber certifications a plus but not required.
